In the information age, identity has become a fluid concept. This series of images invites us to reflect on this metamorphosis, using the human body as a canvas and technology as a tool. These evocative and enigmatic digital arts remind us of the fragility of the human form in an increasingly digital and technology-dominated world.
The series establishes a dialogue between the classical and the contemporary, revisiting the tradition of portraiture and the representation of the human body, present in the works of Michelangelo, Alberto Durero or Egon Schiele, but reinterpreting it through the prism of digital aesthetics. The influence of kinetic art and Op Art, with their interest in movement and visual perception, is also present in the way Marco Antonio P.R. manipulates and distorts the images.
Title: “The Digital Consciousness”
Technical Analysis: The three images share a limited but impactful color palette, where deep black contrasts with the bone white of the background and touches of red, creating a sense of drama and mystery. The technique used is digital image manipulation, combining photographic elements with abstract graphics and textures, achieving an effect of dynamism and fragmentation.
The human figure is presented recurrently, but never in a complete or recognizable way. Faces and bodies are blurred, multiplied, merged with abstract elements, suggesting an identity in constant transformation. Light plays a fundamental role, creating chiaroscuro that emphasizes the volume of the figures and enhances their expressiveness.
