This series of two digital works constitutes an eloquent visual meditation on the convergence of analog and digital art. Both images transcend mere simulation to propose a space where the physicality of matter and motion is reinterpreted through algorithmic logic. They do not seek to replicate a traditional medium, but to capture the essence of analog phenomena—such as the trace of light or the gesture of a brushstroke—and modulate them with the infinite precision and malleability of software. A “new analog” is thus established, a tactile sensibility generated by purely virtual means.
The evident inspiration from long-exposure photography techniques and lyrical abstraction in painting imbues the series with an emotional depth often presumed absent in digital art. The artist not only uses digital tools but applies an analog mindset, prioritizing flow, intuitive composition, and the interaction of light over defined form. This dialogue places the work within the tradition of artists who explored the relationship between light and time, such as Man Ray in his photograms or the pioneers of light painting, while also resonating with the ethereal architecture of contemporary digital artists like Refik Anadol.
n essence, the series achieves a post-pictorial synthesis. Digital tools (likely rendering software, particle manipulation, or computational photography) have been employed to mimic and transcend the “analog” quality of gesture and light capture over time, offering a new dimension to digital abstraction.
