Digital art, since its beginnings in the 1960s with pioneers like Vera Molnar and Frieder Nake, has challenged the conventions of traditional art, exploring new forms of expression through technology. Initially linked to geometric and algorithmic aesthetics, influenced by Op Art and Constructivism, digital art evolved with the advent of personal computers and graphic design software in the 80s and 90s, allowing the creation of more complex and detailed images. The rise of the Internet and social media in the 21st century democratized access to digital tools and the dissemination of works, leading to an explosion of creativity and diversity of styles.

The images you have shown me fall within this tradition, but with a contemporary approach that dialogues with the aesthetics of graphic design, illustration, and current digital culture. There is a tension between order and chaos, geometry and organicity, the digital and the analog. These works reflect the complexity of today’s world, characterized by information overload, the fragmentation of reality, and the constant interaction between the human and the technological. Philosophically, we can relate them to concepts such as simulation, hyperrealism, and postmodernism, which question the notion of originality, authorship, and reality in the digital age. The influence of artists like David Hockney in his experimentation with digital media, as well as the aesthetics of Net Art and Post-Internet Art, are also important references.
