…the transition at a midpoint between birth and metamorphosis. Looking at the angular, futuristic forms, we are invited to contemplate the tension between chaos and order, creation and destruction. The planes fold in on themselves as if they were creatures in flight or architectural constructions seeking freedom in a contained space. The work suggests a reflection of the mental state of transformation, where the essence of change is both violent and elegant, a balance between the fragile and the powerful…
Title: Transition of forms in Metamorphosis
Description: These pieces evoke clear influences from deconstructivist architecture, in particular Zaha Hadid, with her bold handling of angular lines and fragmented forms. The structures take an approach close to kinetic sculpture, reminiscent of the works of Naum Gabo, where the shapes seem to be in perpetual motion. The use of smooth, reflective surfaces reminds us of the sculptures of Anish Kapoor, while the integration of bright colours such as yellow, pink and black references the neoplastic style of Piet Mondrian, but with a contemporary three-dimensional reinterpretation. The use of a monochromatic background environment (solid or gradient colours) highlights the complexity of the form and reinforces the idea of these structures as autonomous entities that interact with space.
Shards of Becoming
In angles sharp, the light refracts,
A dance of shadow, of color cracked.
Between the folds of steel and air,
A creature stirs, though unaware.
It breaks the silence, cuts the sky,
An origami born to fly.
In yellow bursts and pinks that clash,
It sheds the past in one bright flash.
A symphony of form and space,
A moment’s pause, a breath of grace.
In every curve, a story spun—
Of battles fought, of futures won.
