This title evokes the creation of life forms through digital media, capturing the essence of what we see in images.
The series “Digital Biogenesis” invites us to reflect on the nature of life and consciousness in the digital age. Through abstract organic forms and vibrant colors, we are presented with a visual universe where the biological and the technological are intertwined.
From a philosophical perspective, these works remind us of Baruch Spinoza’s thought, who conceived of nature as an infinite and divine totality, where all things are interconnected. In this sense, “Digital Biogenesis” could be interpreted as an expression of that interconnection between the natural and the artificial, between the organic and the digital.
Artistically, the series refers us to the work of Ernst Haeckel, whose naturalistic illustrations of microscopic and marine life forms influenced the Art Nouveau movement. Like Haeckel, Marco Antonio uses technical precision and aesthetic beauty to explore the complexity and diversity of living forms, but instead of using pencil and paper, he uses digital tools to create his works.
Description: The three images share a style of organic abstraction, characterized by the use of rounded shapes, soft textures, and saturated colors. The composition is dynamic and fluid, with elements that seem to move and transform before our eyes.
Regarding the technique used, the three images appear to have been created with 3D modeling and rendering software. The image quality is exceptional, with sharp details and realistic textures. The lighting is carefully worked to create effects of brightness, shadow, and transparency.
